Under the supervision of the Education Specialist in charge of governance, the Education Officer (Data) will support the Program in producing key reports expected as part of program implementation. He/she will be primarily responsible for collecting, compiling, and analyzing real time data, that will be disseminated for reporting purposes. He/she will also be responsible for producing evidence of progress made during the implementation of program activities. The successful candidate will also work with cross-sectoral sections and other thematic sections such as Health, Child Protection, Water, Hygiene and Sanitation, etc. in the implementation of projects, in connection with data collection and dissemination, evidence production, human interest stories, production of liaison bulletins and periodic reviews. He/she will collect, analyze and disseminate data to other sister agencies of the United Nations system, implementing partners and all other humanitarian actors contributing directly or indirectly to the implementation of program activities. The person will also be responsible for supporting the Ministry of Education in updating the Education Management Information System (SIGE) and producing statistical yearbooks and key indicators for the sector.

This role involves addressing a range of programmatic, operational and coordination issues, focusing on the needs of field offices, and facilitating communication and coordination between field offices, programme sections and operations, ensuring timely support. The programme specialist will contribute to the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of program activities at the field level, as well as emergency preparedness and response. This will involve close coordination with country office program sections, operations and field offices to ensure the survival, wellbeing of children, mothers, and affected communities, in accordance with the obligations of the Core Commitments for Children (CCCs) in humanitarian action.

UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Regional Office is seeking a suitably qualified Adolescent and Youth Foresight consultant (roster) to support the development of a Girls and Youth Foresight Vision Paper to inform the upcoming ROMP for the EAP Region (2026-2029/2030). Using recently launched UNICEF guidance such as the Youth Foresight Playbook, it is now possible to conduct meaningful consultations with girls and boys with a more forward-looking perspective, aiming at more risk-informed and future-proof planning. The consultant would work with the Adolescent Development Specialist and Regional Gender and Adolescent Advisor on the assignment. The consultant would be engaged to conduct a visioning exercise with adolescent girls and boys and youth groups in the EAP Region to inform the ROMP visioning for the EAP Regional Office. This role is advertised to create a pool of experts for similar assignments in the future. The assignment would aim to: • Analyse available data on consultations with girls and boys conducted by Country Offices in the region in the last 12 months to understand key trends, concerns and proposed ideas to address issues from this cohort. • Review relevant data from CPEs, SitAn and other sources conducted within last 12 months. • Targeted recommendations on emerging areas of concern, trends, and UNICEF’s added value from the perspective of adolescent girls and youth in the Region. • Produce a Girls and Youth Vision for the next 5 years to inform the ROMP development for the EAP Regional Office.

Humanitarian Affairs Specialist, (P3), TA, 6 months, Farchana, Chad in Sudan
The post is based in Farchana, Chad to support cross border operations, with possibility to travel to Darfur states as per operational needs. It reports to the Humanitarian Affairs Specialist, P4 in the Sudan CO and works closely with Darfur CFOs and the Field Operations and Emergency Unit. The post requires travel to different field offices in Darfur with frequent extended working hours. The post also requires close collaboration and coordination with other access focal points in other UN and humanitarian agencies covering Darfur and engagement with state and non-state actors at various levels. The incumbent must be able to give expert technical advice on issues pertaining to humanitarian access & Civil-military coordination to the West Area Office and its operations staff across functional profiles, as well as advice to Sudan CO/FO leadership through clear, realistic, and actionable recommendations on strategic humanitarian access issues. The incumbent must be able to support the West Area Office in setting up sustainable and inclusive humanitarian access environment, while both leveraging and contributing to inter-agency coordinated access efforts. Increased, sustained, and coordinated humanitarian access towards timely and coordinated response, ensuring cost-effective and rapid delivery of assistance and protection with a strategy based on equity, will have a direct impact on the survival of those in crisis – especially women and children.
