Nos complace anunciar convocatoria a la consultoría nacional para el fortalecimiento del componente WASH en la estrategia Nutrivida y apoyo técnico al programa WASH de UNICEF en Cuba. Le invitamos a consultar los términos de referencia y animamos a personas expertas que cumplan los requerimientos del perfil, a presentar su postulación y propuesta que podrá contribuir al fortalecimiento de los sistemas de agua, saneamiento e higiene (WASH) que es un componente estratégico para garantizar el derecho de niñas, niños y mujeres embarazadas a entornos seguros, saludables y resilientes, particularmente en territorios con mayores niveles de vulnerabilidad. En coherencia con el Programa de Cooperación de UNICEF en Cuba y con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible, la presente consultoría se enmarca en la Estrategia Nutrivida, orientada a contribuir a la seguridad alimentaria y nutricional de las infancias y sus familias mediante el fortalecimiento de servicios esenciales y entornos protectores y el Enfoque Tres Estrellas para WASH en Escuelas, una metodología progresiva que permite mejorar las condiciones de agua, saneamiento, higiene y prácticas saludables mediante acciones simples, escalables y sostenibles lideradas por la comunidad educativa en 30 escuelas priorizadas. UNICEF Zimbabwe, with funding from the Global Partnership for Education and in collaboration with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, is seeking a qualified consultant to conduct a rapid WASH needs assessment in 10 selected schools, with a focus on drought‑prone and hard‑to‑reach areas. The assignment involves designing assessment tools, collecting and analyzing primary and secondary data, assessing the availability and reliability of water sources, and reviewing the status of WASH facilities. The consultant will also evaluate the feasibility of boreholes and piped water schemes, present findings to key stakeholders for validation, and produce a comprehensive final report with practical recommendations. The results of this consultancy will directly inform planning and implementation of sustainable water supply interventions to strengthen learning environments in vulnerable communities.
