Working under the supervision of the Regional Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Programme Specialist and in collaboration with the Regional MHPSS Technical Working Group (TWG) members, the consultant will use data available from various sources to undertake a comprehensive desk/literature review and then develop a series of study questions to be able to gather additional insights. Through different approaches including key informant interviews with relevant stakeholders and undertaking innovative approaches e.g social listening/mining, using data from Child Helplines supported by UNICEF etc, the consultant will provide an overall regional understanding of the drivers and potential protective factors for adolescent suicide to inform suicide prevention strategies for adolescents and young people (10-19 year olds).

National Child Data Consultant in Turkmenistan
Taking into account the national aspirations to deliver tangible results in protecting and promoting child rights in Turkmenistan, UNICEF and State Statistics Committee of Turkmenistan (SSC) initiate a process for developing a thematic report on “Children in Turkmenistan” based on census data. It is expected that the publication will outline key areas where child-related census data can provide valuable insights, supporting the development and implementation of policies and programs aimed at enhancing child welfare in Turkmenistan. To support this process of developing the publication, UNICEF is looking for a national consultant to work with census data and prepare the data sets on demographics and socio-economic variables.

Consultancy Opportunity: Training Facilitator for Substance Use Prevention and Stigma Reduction (Belize) UNICEF Belize, in partnership with the National Drug Abuse Control Council (NDACC) and the Organization of American States (OAS), is seeking a qualified Consultant/Training Facilitator to strengthen the capacity of service providers working with adolescents affected by substance use. This assignment aims to address stigma and discrimination—key barriers that prevent young people from accessing prevention and treatment services—by training social workers, outreach case workers, school counsellors, and healthcare professionals. The training will focus on adolescent-friendly services using the Universal Prevention and Treatment Curricula for Substance Use currently in use in Belize. Consultancy: Harmonisation of Case Management Tools and development of case management quality assessment framework, data protection and security standard Operating Procedures and Protocols, (2 months), Lusaka, Zambia in Zambia
Exciting consultancy opportunity to support the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services (MCDSS) to harmonize existing case management tools being used at district and community levels by District Social Welfare officers (DSWOs), Community Development Assistants (CDAs) and Community Welfare Assistance Committees (CWACs) as well as different Non-government Organisations in the provision of child welfare and protection services. This is aimed at harmonizing the case management tools to ensure uniformity of data collection to support assessments, planning and referrals. Once harmonized, the tools will be endorsed by the government, rolled out to all districts. The standardised paper-based system will later be used to customize the national CPIMS + platform to manage information on child protection cases including Child Marriage, Violence Against Children, Circumstantial Children, Children in conflict with the Law, migrant and refugee children and Children in Alternative care at national, provincial, district and community levels. In addition, the assignment will aim to develop a case management quality assessment framework designed for the MCDSS and partners to evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency, and impact of a standard case management system in child protection service provision.
