Under the supervision of the Maternal & Child Health Specialist, this Nutrition Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for the nutrition programmes/projects in Solomon Islands, from development planning to delivery of results. In doing so, the incumbent implements a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to facilitate programme development, implementation, programme progress monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of results in maternal, infant, child, and adolescent nutrition programmes/projects with special attention to multiple systems engagement (food, education, health, social protection) and multi-sectoral coordinated actions to reduce the triple burden of malnutrition, including in emergencies.

Specifically, this position will provide dedicated WASH engineering expertise to the WASH Programme in the country office including working closely with key government stakeholders and selected contractors in planning of improvement works and to provide close technical oversight and regular reporting of implementation of the construction works.
