This role is being established to increase the capacity of the Audience and Market Insights (AMI) unit, specifically to enable the team to conduct more effective quantitative research.  UNICEF is increasingly leveraging self-serve quantitative survey scripting platforms as in-house scripting and data collection tool for quantitative research. To support the growing number of global and local research initiatives, AMI seeks a Scripting and Data Processing Consultant to script surveys, coordinate translations and link checks, liaise with panel vendors for survey fielding, conduct data quality control, and perform basic data processing including weighting and tabulations.

The consultant will:
1. Serve as a technical lead for scripting and managing quantitative surveys in the self-serve quantitative survey scripting platform tools UNICEF has access to.
2. Ensure high-quality, error-free survey links and seamless survey deployment.
3. Coordinate effectively with markets, agencies, and panel vendors to ensure timely fieldwork and data delivery.
4. Conduct quality checks on incoming data and perform data processing and tabulation.
5. Support UNICEF’s flagship and ad hoc research projects to enable evidence-based strategic decision-making.

2. Liaise with local markets or agencies to coordinate the translation of questionnaires and ensure translations are accurately implemented in the tool.
3. Conduct thorough link checks to ensure functionality, routing, translations, and survey logic are correct prior to launch.
4. Coordinate with panel vendors to manage fieldwork, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery.
5. Conduct rigorous data quality checks (e.g., identifying and flagging straight-liners, speeders, AI-generated responses, and other poor-quality data).
6. Run data processing, including weighting, creation of nets, and preparation of summary tables in Excel or other tools.
7. Maintain accurate documentation of technical setup, survey versions, and data cleaning decisions.
