TERMS OF REFERENCE
The Conference of the Parties (COP) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) is the primary global decision-making body addressing climate change. Türkiye will host COP31 in Antalya, in November 2026, bringing together Parties, international organizations, civil society, and other stakeholders to negotiate and advance global climate action.
The consultant will assist with technical analysis, coordination activities, documentation, and logistical preparation to ensure that UNICEF’s engagement in COP31 is well-organized, informed, and aligned with global climate policy objectives.

Requirements:
Education:
- University degree in social sciences, environmental study, climate change or a relevant field.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supporting climate action and advocacy.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of international climate policy (UNFCCC process) and experience with COP process.
- Strong understanding on child rights and youth participation. Experience of working with children, adolescents, and young people is preferable.
- Excellent research and analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex information
- Excellent organization skills, task management and knowledge sharing
Language Requirements:
- High proficiency in English and Turkish, with strong ability to produce high‑quality written content in both Turkish and English.
