To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have… 

Minimum requirements:

• Education: Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in Economics, Political Science, Economic Policy, Public Policy, Data Science, Evaluation, International development and any other related fields, with relevant application in development or programme contexts is required. A doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in Economics, Public Policy, Data Science, Evaluation, or a related field is considered an asset.
• Work Experience: At least 8 years of progressively responsible work experience at senior levels in International Development, Innovation, Knowledge Management, Program management, Evaluation, Digital Transformation and any other related fields, including work across global, regional, and country contexts is required.
• Skills: 
  • Demonstrated leadership in designing and delivering large-scale, multi-country programmes, evaluations, or institutional systems, translating evidence and data into strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Proven experience in developing or scaling digital platforms, knowledge systems, or data-driven solutions, including the application of advanced analytics and emerging technologies (e.g., AI-enabled approaches) to improve organizational performance.
  • Strong track record in building and managing strategic partnerships with governments, UN agencies, academic institutions, and research networks, including translating collaboration into tangible knowledge, policy, or programme outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in knowledge generation, synthesis, and dissemination, including development of high-impact publications, policy products, and global knowledge initiatives
  • Experience leading cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams, managing complexity, and delivering results under tight timelines in dynamic environments.
• Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required.

Desirables:

• Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or Portuguese.
• Experience applying research and analytical methods to complex development challenges, including the ability to translate evidence into scalable systems, practical knowledge solutions, and operationally relevant decision‑making.
• Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
