How can you make a difference?
The Digital Impact Manager will assist the Regional Office (RO) and LAC region Country Offices (COs) with their overall ICT, T4D and Digital Innovation strategies; implementation of governance and portfolio management processes; compliance on T4D projects with internal ICT policies as related to T4D (cyber security, child safeguarding, data protection); identification, assessment and integration of digital tools into UNICEF programming and government systems; strengthening internal capacity to lead and support T4D related projects; identifying and engaging with key partners; resource mobilization; identifying and supporting Digital Public Goods (DPGs); documentation and evidence generation; and maximizing potential for T4D scale-up and rollout.
The incumbent is directly supervised by the Regional Chief of Digital Impact but works closely with Regional and Country Programme, ICT, T4D and Innovation staff, and close liaison with the ICT Division (ICTD), the Digital Centre of Excellence (DCOE), Digital Health Center of Excellence (DICE), and the Office of Innovation (OOI).
The purpose of this role is to lead and manage the demand for Technology for Development (T4D)/(Digital Impact) programmatic support. UNICEF programmes increasingly leverage digital means for effective programme delivery, systems strengthening and monitoring. The Digital Impact Manager guides programme teams in the identification, assessment and integration of ICT and digital innovation into UNICEF programming; strengthening internal capacity to lead and support T4D related initiatives; identifying and engaging with key partners; building and maintaining business relationships; applying reusable and replicable technical buildings blocks; and maximizing the potential for the scale-up and sustainability of technology and digital innovation for UNICEF programming. The Digital Impact Manager provides regional liaison and technical troubleshooting with the Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC), ensuring robust digital operational capabilities and effective communication across LACR.
The Digital Impact Manager works closely with programme staff and in close liaison with other Regional Office ICT and T4D teams, and the central ICT Division where applicable.
The Digital Impact Manager supervises international and local staff members. This role may also oversee the work of consultants.

A Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in a relevant area combined with 2 additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree. This is applicable to internal (FT, Continuing and Permanent) staff only. - Work Experience: At least 8 years of relevant work experience in Communication, Technology, Digital Data Solution Implementation, Policy Compliance, Project Management, Knowledge Management, Digital Capacity Building, Digital Innovation, Business Analysis, Leadership, People Management, Experience with ICT, mobile and web-based technologies, Software programming experience and any other related fields.
- Skills: Solution Design, Vendor Management, Budget Oversight, Web Technologies, Service Design, Field Implementation.
- Language Requirements : Fluency in English and Spanish are required.
