UNICEF Mexico’s Face-to-Face programme operates through a network of external agencies across different fundraising environments, including fixed sites, private sector partnerships, special campaigns, and other donor acquisition opportunities. The position supports the execution of fundraising plans, monitors agency performance, and contributes to identifying new opportunities to strengthen channel results and supporter acquisition.

How can you make a difference?
The Senior Fundraising Associate (F2F Agencies), (GS-7) is part of the Private Fundraising & Partnerships (PFP) team within the Mexico Country Office and reports directly to the Fundraising Officer (Face-to-Face), (NO-2). The position supports the implementation and growth of UNICEF Mexico’s Face-to-Face fundraising programme through the effective management of external fundraising agencies and operational partners.
The role serves as the primary liaison between UNICEF and external fundraising agencies, ensuring effective campaign implementation, compliance with UNICEF standards, achievement of agreed performance targets, and continuous improvement of field operations. The incumbent works closely with agency management teams and internal stakeholders to support donor acquisition objectives, fundraising quality standards, and operational efficiency across multiple fundraising locations and campaigns.
Key functions/accountabilities include:
- Manage UNICEF Mexico’s Face-to-Face fundraising programme, including planning, implementation, performance monitoring, donor acquisition growth, and achievement of fundraising targets.
- Lead the relationship with external Face-to-Face agencies and suppliers, ensuring quality delivery, compliance with UNICEF standards, contractual requirements, and operational effectiveness.
- Analyze programme performance and financial results, preparing reports, forecasts, recommendations, and improvement initiatives to maximize donor value, return on investment, and long-term sustainability.
- Strengthen operational excellence and collaboration, through field monitoring, coaching, quality assurance, stakeholder engagement, and coordination with internal and external partners to achieve Individual Giving objectives.

Minimum requirements:
- Education: Completion of secondary education is required.
- Work Experience: A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible work experience in one of the following areas: oversight of contact centers, face to face fundraising activities, direct sales, direct marketing agencies or other individual fundraising areas is required. A completed bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution in a field relevant to the position may replace three years of related work experience. A completed master’s degree may replace an additional two years.
- Skills: Experience in data analysis, performance monitoring and/or tracking key performance indicators is required.
Experience in training and motivating teams is required. - Language Requirements: Proficiency in Spanish and intermediate English is required.
Desirables:
- Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French or Russian) is desirable.
- Supplementary training or university courses in marketing, sales, publicity, communication, business administration, international relations or related areas will be an asset.
- Experience negotiating operational agreements or partnerships is highly desirable.
