Scope of Work:
Under the supervision of the Immunization Specialist, the consultants will work in close coordination and collaboration with the UNICEF PCO team to conduct the following tasks:
- Overall project coordination support towards the effective and timely implementation of the project-related activities.
- Support PCO team on the timely and efficient fund utilization in accordance with UNICEF timelines.
- Support the ongoing monitoring of implementation of project activities including the conduct of regular meetings in coordination with DOH and other partners.
- Support organization and functionality of the program steering committee and TWG.
- Ensure that the timeline, budget and details of activities are well organized.
- Communicate with various stakeholders to keep everyone on board about any changes to the project plan.
- Organize reporting, plan meetings and provide updates to project managers and other project staff.
- Liaise and coordinates with the various project stakeholders for project-related activities in a timely manner.
- Prepare the minutes of meetings as needed and maintains a project calendar.
- Provide ongoing status reports and updates on the project implementation.
- Coordinates the collection of report submission by the various DOH Offices & Bureaus to UNICEF.
- Prepares and reviews donor reports and share with UNICEF team for finalization.
Tasks:
- Develop and support PCO team in identifying strategies to support project implementation and development of WFP/microplans of partners.
- Provide support in the regular coordination and quality assurance for projects and tasks.
- Support external process improvements across multiple levels and functions.
- Support coordination with DOH teams and LGUs for project requirements and scope.
- Actively track and monitor the project tasks and deliverables and provide progress reports to the PCO team and DOH partners.
- Support creation and maintain major project documentation including, but not restricted to: Gannt Chart, M and E framework and project calendars.
- Support documentation of the completion of all phases of the project implementation including Human Interest Stories.
- Prepare briefing notes to project stakeholders, support development of donor reports and support donor visits.
- Support tracking of the project budget and creation of visibility plan.
- Support the health team in any other tasks as needed.
Deliverables/Outputs:
- Inception Report.
- Detailed workplan with activities to be undertaken during the consultancy.
- Visibility plan.
- Project M and E framework/tracker.
- Project Briefing Notes.
- Monthly report on status of project implementation, fund utilization including challenges encountered and strategies to address them.
- Final Report and documentation.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in social or development or other relevant disciplines including public health.
- A Master’s Degree, Doctor of Medicine or Certification in project management would be an asset.
Knowledge/Expertise/Skills required:
- With experience working in public health-related agencies, social development sector and any national or international organizations interacting with the health sector.
- With at least 1-2 years’ experience in the management and implementation of development projects.
- Work experience in immunization related projects/programs an advantage.
- Experience working with UN agencies, DOH, LGUs and other partners.
- With good organization, interpersonal and planning skills.
- Be able to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Has the ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure.

Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. The candidate may also be subject to inoculation (vaccination) requirements, including against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid).
