How can you make a difference?

The Senior Digital Impact Associate supports UNICEF Comoros’ ICT and digital operations by providing specialized technical services, including desktop and server administration, hardware and software management, and systems support. The role contributes to the testing, implementation, and maintenance of ICT systems and digital/data solutions that support programme delivery.

Based in Comoros, the Associate reports to the Operations Specialist and receives technical supervision from the Madagascar Digital Impact team, working closely within a multi-country office setup.

To qualify as a champion for every child you will have…

Minimum requirements:

  • Education: Completed Secondary Education is required. A bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution in a field relevant to the position may replace three years of related work experience. A master’s degree may replace an additional two years.
  • Work Experience: Minimum seven years of practical work experience in information technology, requiring systematic methods of troubleshooting and problem solving is required.
  • Skills: Good understanding of cybersecurity principles and information security awareness is required. Good understanding of handling sensitive and confidential information is required. Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills are required. Ability to assess training needs and support user learning is required.
  • Language Requirements: Fluency in French and proficiency in English is required.

Desirables:

  • Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an advantage.
  • A minimum of 1 year of professional experience in information communication technology for development (ICT4D) is highly desirable.
  • Courses or certifications in Digital Transformation, Business Analysis, ICT Management, or Digital Development are considered an asset.
  • Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts is considered an asset.

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance.  Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station is required for IP positions and will be facilitated by UNICEF.
