How can you make a difference?
The People and Culture Associate, at the G-6 level, will be part of the Venezuela UNICEF country office. Reporting to the People & Culture Officer. The main focus of this position is providing support in all administrative areas of People & Culture, Learning, Recruitment, Employee experience, Talent Management and HR Analytics.

Minimum requirements:
- Education: Completed secondary education is required, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the work of the organization.
- Work Experience: A minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible administrative or clerical work experience is required. Relevant areas may include Human Resources, recruitment and selection, benefits and entitlements, learning and development, performance management, job classification, workforce planning, employee experience, change management, HR analytics, or other related fields.
- Skills: Computer literacy and the ability to effectively use standard office software tools as well as good knowledge and skill in using HR systems is required.
- Ability to organize own work, set priorities and meet deadlines is required.
- Ability to extract and format data and to solve operational problems is required.
- High degree of confidentiality, initiative and good judgment is required.
- Language Requirements: Proficiency in Spanish is required. Basic English is required.
Desirables:
- Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French or Russian) is an asset. Intermediate English is desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of HR principles, rules, regulations and procedures within the UN is highly desirable.
- A Bachelor degree in any area related to social sciences or human resources is an asset.
- Experience with talent management systems is desirable.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts is an asset.

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance. Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station is required for IP positions and will be facilitated by UNICEF. Appointments are conditional on the selected candidates willingness to comply with current or future vaccination requirements, should UNICEF mandate it for personnel. Failure to comply with such requirements, where applicable and without a duly approved medical exemption from the relevant UN authority, will result in the cancellation of the selection or may lead to other administrative measures, including separation from service.
