UNICEF Tanzania is supporting the Government of Tanzania to scale up integrated ECD services through evidence-based modelling, strategic planning, and multi-sectoral coordination.
Given that, UNICEF aims to support the government of Tanzania to equip work-based ECD centres, including market-based ECD centres, in the two regions in mainland Tanzania (Dar es Salaam and Dodoma) and Zanzibar within one year. These ECD Centres will serve as inspirational models for other places to provide affordable, safe, and quality childcare services for working mothers, as well as holistic development for children under 5 years old
The Consultant’s goal will be to support the mainstreaming of race and ethnicity into UNICEF SELO and #AgendaCidade flagship initiatives, as well as in the Annual Workplans of each of the aforementioned Goal Areas in all of the Zonal Offices. Furthermore, the Consultant will conduct capacity building within the office to enhance awareness on issues of race and ethnicity as well as suggest practical ways to enhance race and ethnicity into programming, enhancing thus the quality of the Country Programme in the long term.

UNICEF Mozambique is in search of a dedicated and proactive national Consultant to be stationed in the National Institute of Social Action who will support INAS in the processes of implementing the Beneficiary Management Information System (e-INAS/SIB), in the corrective and preventive maintenance of the IT park, among other activities related to the area of information and communication technologies. As INAS, IP employees use technological equipment and resources to carry out their activities. The small number of IT technicians in the institution (Central Body) and the absence of these professionals at local level make it difficult to adequately attend to the various processes underway. They also have a negative impact on meeting the deadlines set for planned activities.
In this context, the hiring of an IT technician will boost the implementation of the Beneficiary Management Information System, guaranteeing compliance with the provisions of ‘Axis 4 - Institutional Development’, point b), regarding the ‘scope for strengthening operational management’ of the ENSSB. The technician will directly report to the Head of the Information, Communication and Image Technologies.
