Given the emerging efforts to develop eLearning within Sudan and to work towards a coherent approach, UNICEF has generated and developed digital content on various electronic platforms for different educational groups. The content will now be used in the emergency setup in country to ensure children continue learning in different modalities including in child-friendly safe-learning spaces in safer states of the country. Moreover, the “Learning Passport” is available for children to access wherever they are and is the only mean of learning in hot spot areas.

To support this work, UNICEF will recruit 3 digital learning junior consultants, whom will be responsible for preparing 10,000 tablets to be distributed for schools and e-learning centers in various states, in addition to maintaining some tablets that need to be fixed.

Under the guidance and general supervision E-learning officer, 3 digital learning consultants will install software, prepare tablets with, load tablets with SD cards, and pack them to send them out to states.

In addition to that, the interns will have access to the learning passport, to upload material for 1st – 3rd year of high school, with a total of 2500 files to be reviewed and uploaded, and generating html5 content to be used in the learning passport by children and users.

Moreover, the consultants will review content for TV/Radio, LP, Let Us learn from vendors including videos and games

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have… 

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional certificate in Information technology, computer science, electrical/electronic engineering.
- Fluency in Arabic and English
- Knowledge in building content through html5 and java script, and web development
- At least 6 months of experience in one of the needed skills in digital learning, M&E, or development.
 
Travel Plan: Travels to support implementation in states where DL is implemented

Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws. 

The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract.
