The Individual Giving (IG) team in the Division of Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP), based in Geneva, provides global support to over 50 fundraising National Committees (Natcoms) and Country Offices (COs). A key part of any successful fundraising operation is having cutting- edge systems that enable UNICEF to engage with, manage, and understand its supporters. Essential technologies include donor management systems (CRM-based) and payment platforms, both critical to maximizing and optimizing fundraising performance to support the world’s most vulnerable children.
As UNICEF undertakes an intense period of IG product development, alignment and coordination with markets and internal stakeholders are vital. This ensures platforms and products are fit for purpose, optimized for fundraising, and compliant with data security policies and procedures.

PURPOSE OF ASSIGNMENT:
The Individual Giving (IG) Fundraising Systems Business Analyst will lead the development of IG-focused fundraising systems from the global UNICEF business perspective. These systems include:
1. Individual Giving Fundraising CRM Systems (e.g. Salesforce): Managing and collecting the majority of income for fundraising markets.
2. Channel-Based Fundraising Technology Solutions: Platforms such as face-to-face fundraising tools, mobile solutions (including app development), and telephony systems.
3. Systems to Drive Digital Transformation: Solutions supporting digital innovation across all Individual Giving markets.
The consultant will define and articulate the features and functionalities required to enhance IG fundraising performance, collaborating with technical resources. They will also support the design, development, and implementation of new technology throughout their lifecycle.
SCOPE OF WORK:
Act as Individual Giving Fundraising Systems Business Analyst:
- Support all fundraising markets (primarily Natcoms, including some high-priority country offices).
- Ensure markets make informed technology choices and implement solutions effectively from an individual giving perspective.
Lead SES CORE Implementation Projects:
- Act as the lead and main point of contact for Supporter Engagement Strategy (SES) CORE implementation projects for National Committees.
Conduct Business Analysis:
- Gathers CRM/Salesforce requirements for IG fundraising systems through detailed consultation with fundraising markets.
- Organize and facilitate workshops to understand market needs.
- Identify and categorize requirements as global (core products) or market-specific (localizations) to ensure compatibility between core and localized solutions.
Collaborate with Internal and External Stakeholders:
- Work with the Information and Communication Technology Division (ICTD), other stakeholders, and external market suppliers to recommend strategic directions for IG based products.
- Focus on increasing IG fundraising performance.
Contribute to Agile Development:
- Manage the articulation of requirements within an agile development methodology.
- Support the technical design of practical solutions.
Support Global Payments Solutions:
- Assist the individual giving digital delivery team in providing a global payments solution for markets.
Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT):
- Oversee UAT processes and document bugs, issues, and change requests for iterative development cycles.
Provide Market Support:
- Assist markets during and after implementing new systems.
Escalates Decisions:
- Escalate influential or impactful decisions to the Digital Delivery Manager or Chief of Individual Giving, as appropriate.
Ensure Compliance:
- Ensure developed systems adhere to data privacy and security policies (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS).
Monitor New Opportunities:
- Evaluate new technological opportunities for testing and potential adoption by UNICEF.
DELIVERABLES & TIMELINES
(The required standard and detailed timeline will be agreed upon with the supervisor in advance).
Deliverable 1: (10% to be completed in March, April, May, June, August, September, October, November, December 2025, as well as January and February 2026)
- Support the implementation and adoption of CORE for at least 4 National Committees. Positive feedback from National Committee is the criteria to measure the effectiveness of this deliverable.
Deliverable 2: (10% to be completed in March, April, May, July, August, September, October, November, December 2025, as well as January and February 2026)
- Support to Salesforce based IG fundraising markets to optimize performance. Positive feedback from markets is the criteria to measure the effectiveness of this deliverable.
Deliverable 3: (10% to be completed in March, April, June, July, August, September, October, November, December 2025, as well as January and February 2026)
- Support ongoing development of CORE Salesforce managed package, including development and ongoing maintenance of standardized IG fundraising dashboards.
Deliverable 4: (10% to be completed in March, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December 2025, as well as January and February 2026)
- Development of data warehouse /rollup summaries / archival solutions for National Committee’s by working closely with ICTD colleagues.
Deliverable 5: (10% to be completed in April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December 2025, as well as January and February 2026)
- Creation and maintenance of system documentation.
Travel:
- There is the possibility of travel to Geneva on an as-needed basis, which will be paid by UNICEF. This is not included in the lumpsum.

Education:
- A first-level University degree in Information technology, database management, systems development or similar field is required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in CRM system implementations and operational management, particularly in the context of individual giving fundraising.
- Experience with Salesforce and/or Donor Perfect is highly desirable.
- Experience in fundraising (especially individual giving) and transaction/income processing is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of fundraising data analysis, reporting techniques, and metrics is desirable.
- Good knowledge of payment/ banking systems, cultures and processes is highly desirable.
- Excellent project management experience Applicants must demonstrate prior experience of managing similar large-scale projects.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to problem-solve is required.
- Experience of general data management processes (migration / integrations etc.)
- Strong communications skills and ability to form good working relationships with stakeholders.
Language:
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN languages is an asset.
Remarks:
Please indicate your all-inclusive (lump sum) fees in USD against the deliverables listed above. If there is a need for business travel, the travel costs will be covered by UNICEF separately. The office selects the individual based on best value for money.

Individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures, and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein (such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage). Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract.
