UNICEF Supply Division (SD) works to ensure equitable and inclusive access to essential supplies and services for children and their families, in development, humanitarian and fragile contexts. How can you make a difference?
Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager (Contracts Specialist, P-3), the Project Officer supports the technical implementation of the GPGD project, focusing on the structured review, mapping, drafting, and coordination of Supply Procedures and Guidance Documents.
The role is primarily operational and technical, ensuring that:
- Regulatory content is systematically reviewed, mapped, and consolidated into lifecycle clusters
- All changes are captured, tracked, and validated through controlled project tools (MS Lists, MS Project, Visio, etc.)
- Draft content is developed in line with the three-layer architecture (procedure, guidance, tools)
- Stakeholder inputs are effectively coordinated within tight project timelines and milestones
The role contributes directly to delivering a coherent, traceable, and operationally aligned Supply Regulatory Framework, as well as supporting associated training documentation, guidance and access platforms and initiatives - such as the potential Supply Galaxy platform development.
Ensures compliance with Good Storage and Distribution Practices (GSDP), ISO and other relevant international regulations, standards and guidelines, including integration of Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements into work processes and functions.

Minimum requirements:
- Education: Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Supply/Purchasing, Business Administration, Business Admin., Law, supply chain management, procurement and any other related fields.
- Work Experience: At least 2 years of relevant work experience in Supply Management, Supply Management/Contracting/Logistics, Procurement, Policy, Process Support and any other related fields are required.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills in reviewing and structuring complex documents; ability to manage large volumes of documentation and multiple versions; high attention to detail and traceability of changes; strong drafting and written communication skills; ability to work with Microsoft 365 tools (MS Lists, MS Project, OneNote, Visio); understanding of procurement processes and regulatory frameworks; ability to support structured workflows and project methodologies; systems competent, preferable with knowledge of SAP and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office package; ability to establish harmonious work-relationships with colleagues in an international and multicultural environment is required.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required.
Desirables:
- Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is an asset.
- Recent experience of undertaking UNICEF procurement in a country office, including robust knowledge of the applicable UNICEF Global supply procedures, guidance and operational workflows would be a strong advantage. Experience in document review, analysis, or project coordination is an asset.
