UNICEF Ukraine is seeking a national Communication Consultant to develop and deliver communication products, campaign materials, reports and activation packages that raise awareness of the situation of children and young people, highlight the impact of the war and support engagement and advocacy for children's rights. Under the supervision of the Chief of Communication & Advocacy, the consultant will:
- Organize events and visits.
- Plan and implement campaigns.
- Produce high-quality content to be published on UNICEF Ukraine channels and disseminated widely.
- Produce and manage a media directory with information on type of engagement, mention or interview log.

Minimum requirements:
Education:
Master's degree in Communication, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, International Relations or Humanities.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in communication, media, journalism, marketing, or a related field, including hands-on experience managing multimedia campaigns, public-facing activations, and content production. Experience working in a humanitarian, development, or UN/NGO context is required, ideally within an emergency response setting.
Skills:

Demonstrated experience planning and delivering communication campaigns and activations for diverse public audiences, from concept through post-activation reporting.
-
Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with experience coordinating across government counterparts, media, partner organizations, and field offices to deliver time-bound outputs.

Proven track record producing high-quality content (video, photo, written) for digital and traditional media channels.

Experience organizing and supporting high-level or donor visits, including logistics, briefing materials, and media coordination.

Sound understanding of media relations, including managing press engagement logs and journalist/media contacts.

Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and manage multiple concurrent deliverables.

Sensitivity to child rights, child safeguarding, and ethical content standards in a conflict-affected context.

Prior experience with UNICEF or another UN agency, particularly in a Communication & Advocacy function.
