Work type: Consultant
Location: Thailand
Categories: Research, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation

UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfilling their potential.

Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.

And we never give up.

For every child, a better future

UNICEF works to ensure the rights of all children in the East Asia and Pacific Region.  This means the rights of every child living in this country, irrespective of their nationality, gender, religion or ethnicity, to:

  • survival – to basic healthcare, peace and security;
  • development – to a good education, a loving home and adequate nutrition;
  • protection – from abuse, neglect, trafficking, child labour and other forms of exploitation; and
  • participation – to express opinions, be listened to and take part in making any decisions that affect them

How can you make a difference?

The application and sharing of evidence and learning through knowledge management is a change strategy of the UNICEF Strategic Plan (SP), 2022-2025. With the launch of the Global Knowledge Management (KM) Medium-Term Strategy (2021-2022) in 2020, the organization reaffirmed its commitment to position itself as an organization that puts knowledge to work to achieve results for children and fulfill their rights.

In line with the Global KM strategy, UNICEF Thailand Country Office (TCO) has a critical role as a knowledge broker and leader on issues impacting child well-being in Thailand. TCO has made progress on Knowledge Management through building information platforms and tools in addition to systematic and organized approaches to knowledge sharing and will continue to build on the momentum to nurture a culture of intellectual curiosity, cross-sectoral learning and knowledge brokering on child rights issue requiring continuous investment in the KM function.

TCO is also embarking on the development of a new Country Programme for 2027-2031 which will require dedicated technical support on documentation, collaborative workspaces, knowledge sharing and strategic internal and external communication to ensure a transparent and collaborative process.
