How can you make a difference?
This consultancy looks for an experienced KM specialist with an advanced understanding of the UNICEF SharePoint ecosystem to ensure proper knowledge management practices for the PFP Unit in LAC RO. The consultant will provide a redesigned baseline SharePoint structure and capacity building to UNICEF staff members on the best use of SharePoint and associated Office tools.
Key Activities/Tasks:
- Developing a baseline functional SharePoint structure: Establish a well-organized foundation for the PFP Unit’s communication and collaboration needs. This structure should support seamless document storage, sharing, and communication between team members and stakeholders across the region.
- Customization and branding: Customize the SharePoint site to reflect UNICEF’s branding guidelines, ensuring the platform’s visual appeal and alignment with organizational structure. The customization should include user-friendly features that enhance collaboration and information sharing, focusing on simplicity and ease of maintenance. Knowl
- Knowledge Management (KM) support: Provide practical guidelines and training materials for the team’s Knowledge Management (KM) focal point, ensuring the site can be effectively updated and managed. This should include documentation on best practices for uploading, storing, and organizing documents and information.
- User experience and accessibility: Ensure the SharePoint site is intuitive, user-friendly, and accessible across different devices (e.g., desktop, tablet, mobile). The design should prioritize ease of navigation and user engagement, enabling optimal use by UNICEF staff at country offices and regional teams.

Minimum requirements:
Education: A university degree in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Social Sciences, Political Science, or IT-related fields.
Work Experience: At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in developing a Sharepoint site for an international organization.
Must be an expert with the following tools:

Languages: Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Spanish would be an asset.

Administrative details:
Supervision: The consultant will work under the overall supervision and guidance of the UNICEF LACRO Market development Manager.
Workplace: The consultancy is home-based.
Duration: 1-month approx. between Sept and October 2025 - see deliverable table
How to Apply: Application should be submitted online and should include: TMS application form duly completed, Cover Letter, Study certificates and financial proposal. You must include a fee for each deliverable or a daily fee.
Qualified candidates are requested to indicate an all-inclusive (lump sum) fees for the services to be including all associated administrative and travel costs.
Consultants must have their own equipment, tools and materials needed to perform their services. They will use their own laptops/computers, any application or system needed to complete the assignment. They need to provide the full service without using UNICEF resources. The access to UNICEF email and system is restricted to UNICEF staff therefore consultants should not be granted access unless it is imperative to complete the assignment.
