How can you make a difference? 

Under the supervision of the Health Manager, develop the high-risk assessment on the impact of climate change to the health and development of the emergency preparedness plan.

WORK ASSIGNMENT:

  1. Methodology, work plan, stakeholder mapping, and data sources
  2. Documentation of consultations, key insights, and recommendations
  3. Analysis of climate-sensitive health risks, vulnerable groups, and system capacity
  4. Mapping of relevant policies, strategies, and institutional frameworks
  5. Evidence-based plan with prioritized actions, M&E framework, and capacity-building needs
  6. Presentation of findings and incorporation of stakeholder feedback
  7. Consolidated report with all findings and recommendations. Editable files and presentation materials included.

DELIVERABLES:

  1. Inception Report

  2. Stakeholder Engagement Summary
  3. Climate-Health Risk Assessment Report

  4. Policy and Institutional Review

  5. Preparedness and Response Plan

  6. Validation Workshop

  7. Final Report and Executive Summary

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have… 

- Advanced university degree in medicine, public health, Climate change, social sciences, statistics, planning development, and/or related field are required. Degree in epidemiology or biostatistics will be an added advantage.

Experience:

- Essential: At least 5 years of relevant experience at national level, if possible, in the health sector

- Desirable: Working experiences with international organization

Skills:

- Sound knowledge in preparing Climate health risk assessment and Preparedness and response plan development

- Ability to work harmoniously as a member of a team, adapt to diverse educational and cultural backgrounds and maintain a high standard of personal conduct.
