How can you make a difference?
Objective:
The consultant will provide technical and coordination support to UNICEF’s Private and Public Partnerships team and the broader ECO office, focusing on:
-
Building internal capacity on private sector engagement and child rights in business.
-
Strategic resource mobilization and partnerships with public and private sector in support of priority thematic areas such as Nutrition, ECD/Family Friendly Policies, Climate, Girls Empowerment and financing for children initiatives.

Ensuring effective cross-sectoral grant coordination and donor engagement in collaboration with Programme teams.
Scope of work:
Key functions, accountabilities, and related duties or tasks include:
Under the supervision of the Chief of Private and Public Partnerships, the consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:
-Resource Mobilization & Financing Strategies and Donor Engagement
Contribute to resource mobilisation and partnership efforts for thematic profiles such as Nutrition, Early Childhood Development (ECD), Girls’ Empowerment, and Climate Action.
Contribute to development and implementation of financing for children (F4C) workplan, including engagement with IFIs and mobile network operators.
Contribute to resource mobilization strategies and donor engagement plans for priority areas (such as Nutrition, ECD/Family Friendly Policies, Climate, Girls Empowerment).
Cross-Sectoral Grant Coordination & Reporting
-Support the coordination of grant management process for Canada, Power 4 Girls, Baxter, Mastercard across programme teams and donors.
-Ensure alignment of donor requirements with UNICEF programme implementation.
-Support donor reporting and budget monitoring.
Additional Partnerships Support
Collect, synthesize, and draft materials for engagement with private and public sector partners, including concept notes, appeals, advocacy messages, proposals.

Conditions of work:
The consultant will work under the direct supervision of the Chief of PPP. The consultancy is generally office-based at UNICEF Egypt Country Office with potential need for meetings with external partners. There is flexibility for consultant to also work remotely as agreed upon with the Chief of PPP.
Minimum requirements:
-Advanced university degree in international development, business administration, social sciences, or related field.
-A minimum of 2 additional years of relevant professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree.
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in partnerships, resource mobilization, and fundraising required.
-Experience with UNICEF partnership procedures, particularly on private sector engagement is required.
-Experience with multisectoral/thematic grant coordination with programme sections required.
-Experience working with private sector corporations, development partners and donors on resource mobilization and fundraising.
-Experience working in Egypt is an asset.
-Strong knowledge of partnership management, due diligence, and donor compliance.
-Excellent communication, coordination, and partnership skills.
-Familiarity with Teams/UNISON/Salesforce systems.
-Fluency in English (spoken and written).
