Organizational Context and Purpose for the job
The purpose of this consultancy is to support the Child Protection Research and Information Centre by transforming child protection data into actionable insights. The Data Analytics and Visualization Specialist will design and implement real-time dashboards, conduct predictive and geospatial analysis, and generate evidence-based reports to inform policy and programming. The consultant will also build stakeholder capacity in data interpretation and visualization, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility. This role is critical to enhancing data-driven decision-making and improving service delivery across Nigeria’s child protection systems.
Nigeria’s child protection systems are hindered by fragmented data and limited analytical capacity. Although platforms like CPIMS+, CRVS, and DHIS2 collect valuable data, the lack of advanced analytics and visualization tools restricts their impact on policy and programming. To address this, the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs is establishing a Child Protection Research and Information Centre. A dedicated Data Analytics and Visualization Specialist is essential to harness these data sources, uncover trends, and guide strategic interventions. This role will ensure that child protection data is effectively analyzed, visualized, and used to inform national planning, reporting, and donor engagement.
