How can you make a difference?
Under the supervision of the Data and Analytics Officer, the Fundraising Associate (Salesforce Development) will be responsible for leading the evolution and stability of the fundraising CRM (Salesforce) acting as strategic bridge between business needs and technical solutions in Salesforce and related products (Sales & Marketing Cloud, Partner Community), middleware platforms, and connected systems which include telemarketing applications, acquisition applications, Payment Gateways, Payment Service Providers, financial institutions, SMS tools, WhatsApp, and others.
Furthermore, as Product Owner s/he will guarantee the platform's integrity, scalability, and security (aligned with PCI standards) by coordinating internal teams and external vendors to maximize return on investment, process automation, and operational efficiency.
This position is critical to advancing fundraising goals by:
- Driving Operational Efficiency: Maximizing the value of the CRM ecosystem through workflow automation, reduced manual processes, and strengthened data quality, enabling fundraising teams to focus on strategic, high‑impact work.
- Ensuring Business Continuity: Coordinating internal teams, vendors, and middleware partners to maintain a stable, reliable, zero‑downtime fundraising platform.
- Upgrading Security & PCI Compliance: Enforcing data‑security standards, conducting continuous assessments, and ensuring full compliance to protect donor data and organizational reputation.
- Leading Innovation: Guiding the technological roadmap by identifying emerging trends and implementing tools that enhance acquisition, retention, and collection results.
The main functions/accountabilities are:
Product Ownership
- Serve as the strategic link between stakeholders and technical teams, identifying business needs and proposing technology‑driven solutions to advance fundraising goals.
- Analyze and document business requirements, translating fundraising objectives into clear technical specifications and user stories.
- Coordinate development progress with the supervisor and internal/external partners, ensuring alignment with priorities and providing timely status updates.
- Plan regional releases with the Data & Analytics Officer and oversee the full development lifecycle in coordination with global and local teams.
- Validate functional deliveries (QA), ensuring they meet acceptance criteria and contribute to donor acquisition and retention.
- Support the design of scalable data structures across Salesforce and integrated systems, ensuring platform integrity.
- Assist in budget management for Sales, Marketing, and Experience Cloud platforms, ensuring cost‑efficient licensing.
- Contribute to the exploration of emerging technologies to enhance fundraising operations.
Sales Cloud & Marketing Cloud Administration
- Manage platform security, licenses, and access governance in compliance with data policies.
- Customize Salesforce (objects, fields, rules) to align with evolving fundraising processes.
- Oversee environment management and deployment pipelines, maintaining system stability.
- Ensure data integrity between Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud and support complex audience segmentation for acquisition and retention strategies.
- Advise on external vendor needs and manage the lifecycle of technical issue resolution.
Fundraising Middleware Platform Coordination
- Monitor the health and performance of fundraising platforms and integrations, preventing disruptions.
- Coordinate technical solutions with development partners and oversee incident management from diagnosis through resolution.
- Support Agile practices and lead middleware integration efforts to ensure secure, efficient data flow.
Administrative and Operational Support
- Support quotation and billing processes, manage daily coordination with development partners, maintain documentation, and perform other tasks as required by fundraising operations.
To qualify as a champion for every child you will have:
Education
- Completion of secondary education required; preferably supplemented by university studies in one or more of the disciplines relevant in the following areas: project management, business analytics, science/engineering, or information technology, or software engineering, or professional work experience in business intelligence and Salesforce development.
Experience
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience is required. A bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution in a field relevant to the position may replace three years of related work experience. A master’s degree may replace an additional two years of experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in managing, developing, and implementing Salesforce Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud and Community Cloud.
- At least 3 years of working experience in Project Management, Business Analyst, Business Intelligence.
- Proven experience in API architecture.
- Experience leading and coordinating functional and technical teams.
Desirable:
- Experience applying Agile methodologies.
- Experience in Fundraising Operations, payment gateways, PCI compliance and payment platforms.
Knowledge and skills
- Project Management and people skills.
- SQL or SOQL knowledge
- Proven ability to effectively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Certifications as Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud administrator courses are an asset.
Language Requirements
- Fluency in English and Portuguese required.
- Knowledge of Spanish will be considered as an asset.
