Digital Impact Division (DID) is at the heart of reshaping how UNICEF delivers lasting results for children. We are committed to harnessing the full potential of emerging digital technologies to advance UNICEF’s mission.
The Digital Center of Excellence champions and coordinates the delivery of field-focused digital transformation in UNICEF programming through a dedicated, field-facing global structure, providing the interface between Regional and Country Offices, and the Digital Core in Valencia to drive the broader digital transformation and innovation agenda.
The T4D Specialist primarily works on the TeamOne initiative while also supporting strategic priorities and partnerships for the DCOE team.

The T4D Specialist reports to the Chief, Digital Centre of Excellence (DCOE).

Key responsibilities include:

  • TeamOne initiative strategy and implementation: Manage key components of the TeamOne initiative, specifically:
    • Strategy and impact measurement: Support development of TeamOne strategic direction including KPIs, project plan and results measurement. 
    • Incentive/badging system (through Level Up challenge): Drive design and implementation of TeamOne badging system to incentivize and recognize TeamOne contributions. 
    • Community management: Oversee community engagement activities including monthly events and the maintenance of TeamOne communication site on SharePoint, etc. 
    • Governance and stakeholder alignment: Prepare content, presentation documents and follow-ups for TeamOne meetings, especially monthly Board meetings, bi-weekly meetings with all Principal Digital Advisors and quarterly TeamOne town halls.  
    • TeamOne flagship events: Drive concept development and alignment for TeamOne Expo, manage participant outreach and communication including through SharePoint. Develop results measurement framework. 
  • Lead and support strategic initiatives for DCOE: Contribute analysis, project management, senior management talking points and strategic advisory support to priority initiatives, for example related to:
    • Cross-division alignment and strategy, including roles and responsibilities, ways of working, collaboration mechanisms 
    • DCOE engagement in global fora and initiatives such as Digital Public Goods Alliance, 50-in-5 campaign, etc.
    • Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) advocacy and projects, including definition of use cases for children, partnerships with key DPI ecosystem stakeholders, etc. 
  • Manage DCOE partnerships: 
    • Support project management of SafeChild project funded by the Government of Luxembourg, in collaboration with SafeChild project manager, including donor communications and engagement, alignment with PPD, and development and refinement of donor proposals. 
    • Lead project management for DPI Safeguards project with Co-Develop, in collaboration with UNICEF USA. Prepare project meetings with participating COs and Co-Develop, contribute to project communication reporting and milestone tracking. 
    • Identify, establish and manage other TeamOne related partnerships. 
  • DCOE communications and advocacy: Prepare DCOE engagement in key events. Support DCOE communications and reporting including annual reporting, team newsletters (every two months) and project updates/communication, as required.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have… 

Minimum requirements

        • Education: Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in Political Science, Business Administration, Public Administration, International Relations, Political Science, Public Administration, Business Administration and any other related fields.
          A Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree)in a relevant area combined with 2 additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
        • Work Experience: At least 5 years of relevant work experience in Development, TeamOne Initiative Strategy and Implementation, Incentive Badging System, Community Management, Governance and Stakeholder Alignment, TeamOne Flagship Events, Strategic Initiatives for DCOE, DCOE Partnerships, DCOE Communications and Advocacy and International Development Cooperation including at least 2 on topics related to digital transformation.
        • Skills: Project Management, Strategic Planning and Analysis, Community Engagement, Governance and Stakeholder Alignment, Event Management, Partnership Management.
        • Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required.
