How can you make a difference?
The purpose of this consultancy is to produce an updated, comprehensive, and actionable Climate Landscape Analysis for Children (CLAC) for Syria, capturing:
The CLAC will guide UNICEF Syria to strategically position itself in the climate–child nexus, enhance climate-resilient programming, and inform CPD development, resource mobilization, and partnerships.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
Minimum requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in climate science, environmental management, geography, disaster risk reduction, public policy, or related fields
Work Experience:
- Five years of professional experience in issues of Climate, energy and environment and child rights (research, teaching/training), policy and development studies
Knowledge/Expertise/Skills:
- Experience conducting climate or environmental assessments and CLAC in fragile or crisis contexts (MENA preferred).
- Demonstrates knowledge and expertise in primary data collection, the use of qualitative analysis software
- Demonstrates excellent writing skills, and strong communication, for the development of technical documents is essential.
Language Requirements:
- English and Arabic will be an asset
Desirables:
- Proven experience in child rights / social sectors desirable.
- Experience working for UNICEF or other UN agencies as an asset
Other:
- Technical Proposal of the suggested methodology to show understanding of the assignment and timeline
