                                                         TERMS OF REFERENCE

The assignment aims to design and deliver a structured, practical training programme that equips young people particularly young mothers with essential skills in business development, financial management, social entrepreneurship, marketing, and access to finance.

Scope of Work:

• Develop a structured, context-appropriate training curriculum and materials covering business models, financial management, corporate governance, marketing, and access to finance.

• Deliver participatory and practical training sessions, for about four days in four districts, to targeted youth beneficiaries, with a focus on young mothers and vulnerable groups.

• Develop and share simple tools and templates to support business planning, financial management, and enterprise development.

Minimum requirements:

  • Education:  Master`s Degree in one of the following fields: Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or any other relevant field
  • Work Experience: At least 5–7 years of progressively responsible professional experience in: • Entrepreneurship development and business skills training • Financial literacy and small enterprise development • Youth livelihoods programming, with a focus on vulnerable groups • Demonstrated experience in: • Designing and delivering structured training programmes • Mentorship and coaching of start-ups or small and micro enterprises • Developing practical training tools and curricula • Knowledge of the socio-economic context of Lesotho or similar settings will be an added advantage
  • Skills: Proven experience working with adolescents and youth, particularly young women and/or young mothers, in low-resource settings • Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver participatory and inclusive training
  • Language Requirements: English and Sesotho
  • Desirables: Experience working with NGOs, UN agencies, or development partners is an asset
