How can you make a difference?
The purpose of this consultancy is to design and develop a package of practical, user-friendly training tools and materials to support effective understanding and implementation of the RISE Inclusion Standard Operating Procedures (SoP) across all responsible implementers.
The consultancy will translate the SoP into accessible training content tailored to different user groups and will strengthen users and implementers’ capacity to operationalize inclusion standards across the RISE learner journey, from outreach to certification. The tools will also build a common understanding of key concepts including gender equality, young people, disability inclusion and refugee inclusion

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have...
Minimum requirements:
- Education: Master`s degree in Development Studies, Gender Studies (with a strong Gender, Child Protection, Safeguarding and inclusion background)
- Work Experience:
- Advanced degree in education, social sciences, gender studies, development studies or a related field.
- At least 7-10 years of relevant professional experience in training design, curriculum development, facilitation and/or capacity strengthening.
- Demonstrated experience in gender and inclusion programming, including gender-transformative approaches and young women-centered design.
- Demonstrated experience developing tools for multi-stakeholder programmes, community-based interventions and/or education programmes.
- Strong knowledge of disability inclusion, accessibility, safeguarding and PSEA frameworks.
- Experience working in Rwanda or similar contexts is an asset.
- Strong instructional design, facilitation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to translate technical frameworks into practical, accessible tools for different user groups.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables
- Skills:
- Demonstrated expertise in disability inclusion, inclusive education
- Strong understanding of Rwanda's inclusion policies and socio-cultural context related to gender, disability inclusion, and the rights of marginalized populations, including refuges.
- Proven experience designing and facilitating inclusive training tools, facilitator guides, and capacity-building programmes that integrate disability inclusion, gender equality, adolescent participation, and safeguarding principles.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with government institutions, Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), youth-led organizations.
- Strong understanding of Social and Behaviour Change approaches to address stigma, discrimination, harmful gender and disability norms, and other barriers to inclusion.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in English (spoken and written). Knowledge of Kinyarwanda is an added advantage.
- Desirables: Experience working with in Rwanda and with UNICEF on similar programs.
