How can you make a difference?

UNICEF supports governments and partners in strengthening resilient and sustainable supply chains to ensure uninterrupted access to essential health and nutrition supplies, particularly in fragile and humanitarian settings. Recent global disruptions have highlighted the importance of robust supply chain systems, data-driven decision-making, and improved end-to-end visibility to maintain service delivery and equitable access to lifesaving products.

To strengthen country-level supply chain capacity, UNICEF promotes the use of data systems, analytics, and evidence-based processes that support planning, monitoring, and performance improvement. Under the supervision of the Nutrition Supply Chain Specialist, the Data Analyst will support the design, analysis, and visualization of Access Coverage Evaluation Survey (ACES) and End User Monitoring (EUM) data. The role will transform nutrition programme and supply chain data into actionable insights through Inform systems and Power BI dashboards, supporting programme performance, supply chain accountability, service delivery improvements, and the identification of potential aid diversion risks. Under the supervision of the Nutrition Supply Chain Specialist, the Data Analyst will support the design, analysis, and visualization of Access Coverage Evaluation Survey data for End User Monitoring (EUM). The role focuses on transforming raw survey nutrition programmatic data as well as supply chain data into actionable insights using Inform systems and Power BI dashboards, supporting decision-making for program and supply chain performance, access, and service delivery improvements as well as detecting lack of accountability for supplies and programme results and any signs of aid diversion happening.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have...

Minimum requirements:

• Education: An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) is required, preferably in relevant field (e.g. Economics, statistics, public health, health economics, business/public administration, computer/data science, or any other relevant quantitative degree). A bachelor’s degree combined with a minimum of seven years of relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of the above.
• Work Experience: Minimum five years of relevant professional experience in all or some of the following areas: Technology identification for supply chain, data analytics, data management, implementation and rollout of IT solutions
• Skills: Proven skills in management and strategic thinking. Work experience within the UN or an international organization / NGO is preferred. Experience working in developing countries is an asset. 
• Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
• Desirables: Strong analytical abilities, with a deep understanding of Excel at an expert level. Proficiency in Excel and experience in working with large datasets is crucial. Additionally, experience in developing information panels (dashboards) is a significant advantage.
