This Temporary Appointment is for 364 days. Candidates applying for positions in the NO category must possess the nationality of the country of the duty station, with the exception of internal candidates who are legally permitted to work for UNICEF in the country independently of UNICEF appointment. If not a national of Poland, proof of residence/work permit may be required. This position is subject to local recruitment. The Health Specialist (emergency and field coordination) reports to the Chief of Health and Nutrition and to the Chief of field operations for general guidance and supervision. S/He is responsible for supporting the Chief of health and nutrition in managing and operationalizing the field health and nutrition programme, including the humanitarian health interventions, and for providing technical and programmatic leadership and guidance to field health officers based in UNICEF field offices for the management, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of the health and nutrition interventions, including humanitarian health and nutrition interventions. The Health specialist (emergency and field coordination) will ensure humanitarian health and nutrition needs are adequately assessed in the regions and that a prompt and adequate UNICEF response is provided as per UNICEF mandate and aligned with UNICEF country health and nutrition priorities and Country Programme Development Plan (CPD). S/He provides technical guidance and operational support throughout the programming process to facilitate the achievement of concrete and sustainable results, according to plans, allocation, results based-management approaches and methodology (RBM), organizational Strategic Plans and goals, standards of performance, and accountability framework.

National Individual Consultant to support ADAP/Digital Learning in Sudan
Under the guidance and general supervision of the ADAP officer, the ADAP/E-Learning consultants will work in developing the current ADAP content to include additional skills such as digital learning and green world to meet with new needed skills for adolescents and to support in digitalizing the whole ADAP package to be used in the Digital Learning as well. The consultant will support the ADAP officer and the digital learning specialist in building capacity of the implementing partners and the local facilitators in addition to designing an ADAP implementation schedule. Moreover, the consultant will have to travel and visit adolescents’ activities implemented in safe states such as Red Sea, Kassala, Gadaref, Northern State, and River Nile.
