The purpose of this assignment is to undertake data landscape diagnostic analysis that will provide UNICEF Bhubaneswar Field Office with a clear understanding of the development landscape in the state. The data analyst will work closely with the sector specialists to develop a comprehensive strategic plan for effective UNICEF data investments to bridge the data gap in assessing outcomes for children in the context of the SDGs and UNICEF programme outcomes, keeping in view the data demand and supply-side story for the coming 3-5 years. The consultant will support UNICEF’s program as well as the nodal departments with strong recommendations to improve the use of existing MIS data and the monitoring system to assess the situation pertaining to children, the state SDG indicator framework and building the capacity of the UNICEF field office and the nodal departments to analyze, synthesize, and process information to drive better results for children.
