The UNICEF Talent Development section of the Division of Human Resources supports individuals, teams, and offices to deliver results by providing learning expertise that enhances the delivery of results for children. A central component of the success of each individual is the availability of suitable learning content, and openness to embrace new content, ideas, innovations, and growth.  The Talent Development team is hiring a remote consultant to lead the implementation of dynamic learning paths designed to enhance leadership across the organization.

 Scope of Work:

The Consultant oversees the management and monitoring of comprehensive and dynamic learning paths. This involves managing 27 e-learning modules in multiple languages, integrating innovative educational practices based on feedback, and implementing facilitated conversations for over 3000 staff as part of the programme’s existing design .

The consultant will be responsible for developing, adapting, and continuously updating learning paths, integrating innovative educational practices, and creating additional learning solutions as required this includes but not limited to:

  1. Managing the ongoing implementation eLearning modules in multiple languages and regularly update them to reflect changing realities and requirements.
  2. Coordinating facilitators of the facilitated conversations and managing overall learning programme's calendar
  3. For ensuring effective content improvements, the consultant will liaise with the subject-matter experts and incorporate their feedback.
  4. Developing plans for assessing and monitoring the learning impact.
  5. Setting up the monthly reporting system
  6. Maintaining close communication and cooperation with the programme team to ensure cohesive implementation and continuous improvement of the programme

The consultant will report to the Programme Coordinator, Division of People and Culture, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and collaborating closely with the programme team for integrated and effective implementation.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have… 

Knowledge/Expertise/Skills required:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences

Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in instructional design, for both in-person and virtual interventions;
  • Prior experience in peer-to-peer learning and coaching design;
  • Excellent project management skills, management of learning programmes, and command of written communications in English.

Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws. 

The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. Selected candidates are subject to confirmation of fully-vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the assignment. It does not apply to consultants who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their consultancy contracts.
