    Community Health National consultant, Tanzania in United Republic of Tanzania

    The purpose of this assignment is to build on the recent CHW mapping exercise and ongoing MoH and PORALG reforms, ensuring timely alignment of community health worker systems with national PHC priorities. These tools and frameworks are being developed at the pivotal stage in rolling out the iCCHW program, following the completion of the national CHW mapping exercise. The evidence has highlighted significant policy and operational gaps that need to be addressed urgently to ensure that the transition to a unified CHW system is both effective and sustainable. Clear, practical guidance is required to avoid duplication of efforts, strengthen accountability, and ensure that resources are used efficiently to achieve maximum impact.

    National Individual Consultant: Case Study on the Implementation of the RED Strategy in Urban Districts in South Africa, Pretoria, 8 months (Remote) in South Africa

    Under the supervision of the Health Officer, supported by the Social and Behaviour Change Manager, the consultant will undertake a mixed method case study on Elma-funded implementation of the RED Strategy with the National Department of Health, the Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape Provincial Departments of Health, and selected district health teams, to strengthen the EPI programme, and develop tailored strategies to reach zero dose and under immunised children. The objective of the assignment is to explore and describe the operational effectiveness, barriers, facilitators, and outcomes of the RED Strategy implementation in selected urban districts, and to generate actionable insights for scaling and strengthening immunisation services.     International Consultant to Strengthen Foster Care Capacity for Children with Complex Needs in Uzbekistan

    Under the supervision of UNICEF Uzbekistan’s Child Protection Officer and in collaboration with NASP and the Uzbekistan Columbia Centre, the consultant will review and enhance existing foster care training materials. This includes integrating trauma-informed care and positive parenting approaches, developing supplementary modules to support children with complex psychosocial needs, and conducting a Training of Trainers for key stakeholders. The final deliverable will be a comprehensive, culturally appropriate training package tailored to Uzbekistan’s context.
