UNICEF Pacific is seeking a motivated national or international consultant to help integrate child-responsive approaches into the Solomon Islands’ new National Adaptation Plan—an important role in one of the world’s most climate vulnerable regions. This 10 month assignment (51 working days) includes 14 days in Honiara and 37 days remote, offering a balance of in-country engagement and flexible work. You will collaborate with UNICEF teams, government counterparts, and partners to ensure children’s needs and rights are reflected in national climate resilience planning. The consultant will report to the Chief of the UNICEF Field Office in the Solomon Islands, who will provide administrative oversight and facilitate engagement with government and partners. Technical guidance and quality assurance will be provided by Climate and Environment Specialists at the UNICEF Pacific Multi Country Office in Suva and the Solomon Islands Field Office. UNICEF Pacific is seeking a dynamic and strategic international consultant for a 24 month assignment (500 working days) based in Suva, Fiji. The consultancy will include approximately eight trips to field offices across the region. The consultant is expected to spend approximately 20 months in country and 4 months working remotely over the duration of the assignment. In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of the UNICEF Pacific Digital Impact Operationalization Strategy, driving digital transformation across the current and future Multi Country Programme Documents (MCPDs). Key priorities include strengthening governance and capacity, building effective partnerships, identifying digital transformation opportunities, and guiding the design and rollout of sustainable digital solutions that enhance outcomes in health, education, child protection, and multi sectoral programming across Fiji and five field offices. You will work closely with UNICEF teams, government counterparts, and partners to unlock digital innovation that delivers real, lasting impact for children.
