Dans un environnement marqué par l’instabilité politique, la récurrence des catastrophes naturelles, la vulnérabilité aiguë des enfants et la baisse des financements, la revue vise à optimiser le portefeuille de partenaires pour la période 2026-2028. Elle cherche à renforcer l’efficacité, la pertinence, la sécurité programmatique et financière ainsi que la localisation, en parfaite cohérence avec les procédures de l’UNICEF, le cadre HACT et les CCC. Cet exercice s’inscrit en appui à la réponse de gestion à l’évaluation de la réponse L3 (recommandation relative à la localisation) et aux actions convenues de l’audit du bureau pays portant sur le suivi programmatique, les visites d’assurance et la gestion des partenariats.

The Deputy Regional Director (DRD) will be part of the regional leadership team. The successful candidate will be one of the two Deputy Regional Directors to support the Regional Director in the management of the Regional Office, ensuring coordination and synergy across multiple functional areas to consolidate a range of integrated and multi-sectoral approaches in support of the Regional Agenda for Children and the UNICEF Strategic Plan (2026-2029). This will be achieved in close collaboration with the twenty-four country offices, headquarter divisions and with a wide range of programmatic and cross sectoral practice areas in the Centres of Excellence (CoEs). The Deputy Regional Director, working in close collaboration with country senior management, is accountable for ensuring that each of the 24 Country Offices is optimally guided and connected to the right competencies, as well as supported through integrated, differentiated and multi-country delivery mechanisms that enable Country Offices to achieve sustainable results at scale. Accountability for programme delivery and country results remains with Country Representatives.
