| The EU launched the programme titled ”Strengthening Access to Reproductive and Adolescent Health (SARAH)" in Nigeria in 2024 to contribute to sustainable demographic transition and Universal Health Coverage by supporting gender and adolescent-responsive integrated Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal and Child Health in three states namely Adamawa, Kwara & Sokoto.
As an integral part of health system strengthening initiative, the HACT team will be providing financial management system strengthening support to the three PHCDAs in Adamawa, Kwara & Sokoto respectively. To provide effective technical support to Adamawa state Ministry of Health (MOH) and Primary Health Care Development Agency (PHCDA), a FSS Associate consultant needs to be recruited accordingly. |

| Under the supervision and guidance of the supervisor, the Programme Associate (G‑6) role provides a broad range of programme, administrative, HACT and procedural support to facilitate the delivery of the programmes. Working as a hub of two Programme Assistants, the incumbents are expected to facilitate the implementation, monitoring, and delivery of programme results by ensuring the timely and effective execution of tasks aligned with UNICEF rules and regulations. Incumbent exercises judgment, anticipates needs, and recommends actions that contribute to programme planning, implementation, and reporting results.This requires them to liaise regularly with multiple units within the office —Programme sections, Operations, Finance, Supply—and with external partners (government ministries, NGOs, donors). Given recent advances in the development and use of digital systems, including those based on AI, incumbents will also be required to promote the use of such systems to create efficiencies and streamline repetitive tasks. |

The Finance Officer contribute directly to sustaining positive donor relations, strengthening UNICEF’s credibility with the US Government, and ensuring full compliance with the requirements of the relevant US Government bureaus. Effective management of US receivables supports the integrity, reliability, and accuracy of UNICEF’s financial statements. In addition, the technical support provided to Country Offices and the Global Shared Services Centre enhances grant management practices at the country level and improves the quality and accuracy of grant-related data and processes within the Grants Module. |
