The Corporate Alliances Specialist (Business Engagement and Child Rights & Business), P-3, will play a key role in advancing UNICEF’s private sector engagement agenda across Eastern and Southern Africa by developing and managing strategic partnerships with businesses, industry associations, governments, and other stakeholders. Reporting to the Senior Advisor for Public and Private Sector Partnerships, the incumbent will provide technical leadership on Business Engagement and Child Rights and Business (CRB) initiatives, support country offices in partnership development, evidence generation, capacity building, and strategic planning, and promote responsible business practices that protect and advance children’s rights. The role requires a strong combination of partnership management, stakeholder engagement, sustainability or human rights expertise, and the ability to influence both financial and non-financial contributions to achieve meaningful outcomes for children across the region.

UNICEF is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Programme Manager to lead its Polio Programme in Southern Afghanistan, the country's highest-risk region for poliovirus transmission. Based in the Southern Region, the incumbent will provide overall leadership, coordination, and oversight of polio eradication efforts, working closely with local authorities, WHO, humanitarian partners, and communities.The role will drive implementation of polio eradication strategies, strengthen integration with routine immunization, nutrition, and primary health services, and represent UNICEF at the Regional Emergency Operations Center (REOC). The position is responsible for policy dialogue, advocacy, programme quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation, and ensuring achievement of regional and national polio programme goals.This is a critical leadership position that contributes directly to Afghanistan’s and the global community’s efforts to eradicate polio by 2029, while advancing UNICEF’s commitment to equity and the rights of every child.

National Public Financial Management Consultant (office based with travel)
The assignment includes facilitating final review considering the prior DGHS support findings on procurement and PFM challenges and endorsement of the guideline and the training package, conducting two national Training of Trainers (for Director General of Health Services (DGHS) and Local Government Institutions (City Corporations) and supporting eight divisional trainings/ToTs, and providing hands-on technical coaching to designated DGHS and city corporation officials to sustain field-level support and capacity building.
