Gaming offers rich opportunities for public engagement, advocacy, education, and fundraising through its vast digital ecosystems, communities, and immersive storytelling platforms. However, these engagement opportunities remain relatively untapped by UNICEF, as we parallel aim to raise awareness and standards for child protection in the gaming ecosystem. There is a need for a cohesive strategic framework to guide UNICEF’s engagement with the video gaming industry, one that is informed by evidence, built on industry insight, and designed for operational exploration across geographical markets. |
